Frequently asked questions!

Q: Will I be a licensed tattoo artist after completing this course?

A: The only person who can actually license you to become an artist is your local government. You will need to contact your local health department to find out if there are additional requirements for licensure. Some states require no license while others are very strict and require many hours of apprenticeship. This is just a guide into the world of tiny tattooing. Please do your own further research.

Q: What is a tiny tattoo?

A: A tiny tattoo is just that! A small tattoo. It's no different than any other tattoo. It's just tiny!

Q: What is a single needle tattoo?

A: Single needle tattoos are usually small, delicate or finely detailed tattoos. The needle cartridge used is a 1rl. This means 1 single needle is in the cartridge. This creates a very fine, delicate line.

Q: Do single needle tattoos fade?

A: All tattoos can fade! A single needle tat isn't any different. Many things can cause a tattoo to fade quicker including placement, the depth of ink, and aftercare.

Q: If I already do permanent makeup, do I need a different license to do tattoos?

A: All states have different requirements for getting a tattoo license. Please ask your local health department for details.

Q: Do I need any previous training to take this course?

A: No! This is a great course for complete beginners. All the basics you need to know to get started tattooing are here. Once you master tiny tattoos and line work, there are so many other opportunities and styles if you are interested!

Q: Do I need to be artistic?

A: No! There are many styles of tattooing that would require you to be artistic. This minimalist tiny tattoo style does not require you to be artistic. It is definitely helpful at times if someone wants something very custom or changed at the last minute but in general you will be tracing over images or using fonts for script tattoos.

Q: How much can I make?

A: You can make anywhere from minimum $65 up to $500 +. There are many artists who charge top dollar for their tiny tattoos. I will link a few IG accounts in the "links" section where you can see the potential of earning in this business!

Q: Will I be able to contact you with questions I have during training?

A: Yes! You can always send me an email with any questions you may have about anything! I never want you to feel lost or confused and want to help in any way I can! My email is [email protected]
